The secret to a good tan.
Share blog
Every time I go to the beach, there is one thing that is always in my backpack, besides my swimsuit and sunscreen: a few carrots. More than one person is surprised when they see me eating them between dips, but over time they have become a personal tradition. In addition to being a fresh, light, and practical snack to carry, carrots contain beta-carotene, the natural pigments responsible for their characteristic orange color. These compounds are precursors to vitamin A and, when consumed regularly as part of a balanced diet, can help the skin acquire a slightly warmer and more even tone.

The intense orange color of the carrot is no coincidence. Beta-carotene acts as an antioxidant, helping to protect cells from oxidative stress caused by factors such as sun exposure. Although eating carrots does not make skin tan faster or replace sunscreen, it can help the skin's natural tone look healthier and the tan appear more even. That is why many people include foods rich in carotenoids, such as carrots, pumpkin, or sweet potato, in their diet during beach season.

Of course, the best tan is always the one achieved responsibly. A good diet, staying well-hydrated, using broad-spectrum sunscreen, and avoiding the hours of peak sun intensity remain the pillars of skin care. In my case, I will keep bringing carrots every time I visit the beach. They are delicious, nutritious, and part of that little ritual that makes every day under the sun even more enjoyable.

Ciertamente que las tine line quedan uy bien y “calientan” no solo al que las ve sino también al que las tiene. Una tanga siempre da este privilego. Saludos
